How can you market your website and build traffic?

It's important to view your website as a marketing tool to be actively used to promote your business or cause. It should not be something that gets built, uploaded and then ignored. But how do you get people to visit your site? And how can you leverage the Internet to increase business or spread the word for you? Our web & site marketing page discusses our services in:

  • Web Marketing,
  • SEM (Search Engine Marketing),
  • Web Analytics (using your web logs and reports to improve your site's performance),
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimizing),
  • conducting a link campaign,
  • HTML Email

Where Does Social Media Fit In?

Social Media refers to a collection of online tools and platforms that generate 2-way, multi-way interactions. Platforms include:

  • Social Networks (Facebook, Linked In and others)
  • Social Bookmarking (Digg, Stumbleupon and others)
  • Video Posting (YouTube)
  • Photo Sharing (Flickr)
  • Podcasts
  • Forums
  • Chatrooms
  • Blogs
  • Microblogs (Twitter)
  • Wikis (Wikipedia and others)

Social media tools and sites are exploding in number. It's a confusing, intimidating medium for businesses and professional organizations. We can help you develop a social media strategy that makes sense.

When is it time to upgrade your website?

We are going into a period of change right now, somewhat similar in scope to the tumultuous 1990's. But now the key questions about existing websites are:

  • is your website laid out using CSS versus tables?
  • is your website viewable on mobile/handheld devices, or, alternatively, do you have a scaled down XHTML version of your primary website for mobile viewers?

A lot of websites out there are several years old and can benefit from an upgrade. (Including ours. We're working on our new site right now - July 2010.)

In the early days of the web, just having a website represented a competitive advantage. Since then, a lot has changed, but many organizations are still deploying their first or second generation websites and as a result, are missing enormous opportunities.

Don't think of your website as a digital phone book ad. Think of it as a combination Sales Representative and Customer Service Provider. In many cases you can throw in Human Resource Rep. as well since websites can be used as communication and resource vehicles in a variety of ways. Websites have evolved into sophisticated entities that offer potential conveniences to visitors / customers / employees. E-commerce is the most obvious convenience but even if you don't sell directly on the web, you may be able to offer a variety of services, options, etc. to both customers and employees. You may be able to streamline internal systems and use the web as an organizational medium. People can register for things online. People can download information, saving you time and postage. Your sales team (even if the sales team is just you!) should be able to refer prospects to your site, confident that the site will support their sales effort.

A good website creates value 24/7, 365 days a year.

We work within a variety of budgetary levels. We also offer payment plans. A professional website is a genuinely good investment - explore the possibilities!

When is it time for your first website?

Not everyone needs a website or will benefit from one. But if you are in a profession or industry where your competitors are migrating to the web you will eventually have to follow them. If people are asking you if you have a website, it's time to get one. If you have a product or service that people can buy, many of them will buy from you (or a competitor) only after they have gone on the web, poked around and educated themselves. This is why professionals and service businesses and organizations benefit from websites even though they don't engage in e-commerce. The great thing is that the web is extraordinarily inexpensive relative to the reach it has and the fact that it makes your service/product available 24/7. We can help you take the plunge!

Our Goals

At TH Design we focus on clearly communicating a message and/or an image using pleasing and meaningful visuals combined with well-organized and interesting content -- information that existing / potential customers need and want. What do Print / Graphic Designers Do?

Print designers create logos, business cards, ads (for newspapers, magazines, programs, phone books, etc.), books, programs, brochures, sales collateral of all kinds, labels, packaging, T-shirts, CD Art, Posters -- basically anything that can be printed. See samples of our print design work on our business identity and print collateral pages.

A professionally designed business identity creates credibility for your organization. It helps "brand" your product or service in the minds of customers and supports any marketing and sales efforts that you make.
